Rane shrugged.
"I have no idea. Once I was old enough, he told me to go visit my parents graves. When I got back, he was gone. I have been searching for him ever since, but I havent been able to find him. Why, did you want to meet him?
Rane put his hands down, noticing in passing that the blood on the floor was gone. He put his hands into the pockets of his trench coat.

Ray shrugged. "Actually I am not sure yet the meeting of such a being plays both chill and reassurance along the threads of my soul."
Ray chewed on his lip a little bit as he thought.
"Your teacher is wise by the way, you should always visit the ones you love."
Ray sighed just out of boredom now.
"Why are you looking for your teacher? Should you not know where he is at all times? After all you share a special bond with him?"
Ray smiled mischievously He put his right hand up like a scale. "Or is it that you can't?"
He raised his left hand the same way. "Or is it that he doesn't want you to find him."
Ray shrugged. "Or it could just very well be that you have not learned such a thing." Ray chuckled lightly.

Rane shrugged, the old frustration returning as it always did.
"I don't know. He never taught me that, but I can sense other vampires I have met over the years. For some reason, however, when I try to reach out to sense him, I never can. Its like there is an empty hole there. It is quite frustrating."
Rane sighed, then shook his head.
"But enough about me. Why are you here, if I may ask?"

Ray nodded so he could sense vampire...though in a particular way that was different then most.
"I would go with the scenario that he does not want to be found at the moment then. But you still have hope to he may just be training you...some things need to be learned on their own."
Ray crinkled his nose such a question asked of him, what is he doing here how arrogant of the lad.
"I am here as I always was, to govern, well more of watch over those that bathe in the moon light." Ray waved his hand in embarrassment.
"My greatest apologies that hasn't been my job for some time now...I guess to govern over the fleshes then." Ray shook his head and frowned. "That's no longer it either since I have been dawned on more responsibility in recent events."
Ray sighed. "I guess you can say I am here to just Govern now."
That still was not right since he was really the only one left of the immortals that governed, all others have set their gates free since their pledge to that veil thing of a woman Gorren required that of all that joined her side.
"I guess it it my job now to lead, or more accurately to show the way.But that I am uncertain for since I was thrown into this new position of mine against my will."
Ray rolled his eyes. "Maybe if I wasn't so ignorant in doing something about it, maybe you smudges would not exist." Ray cringed.
"But what a boring planet that would be."

Now Rane was more confused than ever. Govern? Was this then one of the legendary Immortals? Rane had heard the legends, but to see one actually standing in front of him was definitely a surprise. He had never thought he would see one, let alone have a conversation with one. The fact that he was an immortal was not so surprising, however.
"I'm sorry, but I dont really understand what you are saying. Are you the Immortal of the Creatures of the Night, of the Humans, of both, or of neither?"
Rane was curious as to the mans history, but knew better than to ask straight out. He even felt daring asking for clarification, the man seemed discontent to answer questions about himself or his past. Though, if he were an Immortal, it would be understandable, since it would seem like impudance on Rane's part to ask such questions in the first place.

Ray raised a brow at the young lad and couldn't help but smile a toothy grin. "Exactly."
Ray raised a finger. "But not exactly."
He was the neither the Immortal of the Creatures of the night, Humans, nor anything else.Ray tilted his head. And yet he was now to think about it.But to think about it all the others had abandoned their chairs to bring chaos...except the Creatures of the night....Scarlet like Fayte had more or so passed her chair to him...As a default though since he was once the throne holder and she no longer sat in it.Oh Scarlet if there was an immortal that he could even remotely find interest in it was his old Companion.
"Things have changed Fay has resurrected the first Death Queen. Others had no choice to obey. Her powers are great her deception even greater. The one you guys call the Creator has been captured and many other killed."
Ray turned away from Rane but as he did he appeared behind him.
"At first it was two per Chair 8 chairs. It has dwindled down to 6 chairs and just recently there were 5 chairs.....Angels and all that was holy run By Theair himself. The creatures of the night ran by my pupil Scarlet and her crusemly ugly brother Raisen. And Time and reality as you want to probably call it controlled my Fayte. Then there was Fay with the undead and all the was untouchable. Lastly me I watched all that was living."
Ray walked passed him. "Thats a very vague description if you may. At the beginning there were three thrones that were held alone. The creatures of the night which was held by me.That changed when the mortal chair fell. By choice I stepped down and became their watcher. Then all that was Holy and matter of fact the only Chair that really watched over All the others. That seat has always and will always be ruled by one Theair the Creator. The most famous of us all, He goes by many names. The last of the one seaters was a woman she was good at controlling.."
Ray sighed. "Let us actually call it the Darkness throne. It was ruled by a force equal to Theair himself. Her name was Gorren. " Ray turned back to Rane.
"We called ourselves the three kings. To skip a very long story, Gorren was too good at being evil and we found that she was killing the other immortals and so we sealed her away. Giving her seat to a Guardian named Fay. It turns out Fay has always loved Gorren though and surely but slowly He released her from her bounds that is with the influence of a group called Millennium."
Ray looked at Rane giving him time to take it in. "Because of that incident we were called together this time it was by Fay so we came. I was unprepared for what was going to happen. At first they tried to bargain with me to Join them and by them I merely me Gorren. With me on their side there would be no question about it there would be no more alliance if that happened." My refusal was met with a little hostility. Before I could actually do something about it Theair and his Arch angels came and interfered."
The darkness that clung to the edges of the building seemed to have crawled to the tips of both their shadows.
"It was horrible we were in her domain and so many of the underlings were already on her side. I don't know what they were thinking but Theair allowed himself captured and Fayte."
He looked down in grimes.
"Fayte was killed. But not before her powers could be passed onto me. No they hold Theiar as a ransom for my return. I am the only one that can withstand such a power change. And I am the only one that can still shange things."
Ray fell back into a sitting position and by fall i really mean floating to his behind.
"But at last I was never a really motivated person and I do hate fighting, but I can not let that woman take control. As for Theair he could end this all now as well but there has always been something about her that Theair has not been able to make the final blow. But at last with the powers of Fate there are smudges and you are one."
The darkness seemed to crawl back to the edges of the building now that his story was done.
"Hows that for information mr. Nosy?" Ray chuckled a little bit he had left out the war which tied into the reasoning behind the new war.

Rane struggled to keep up, and felt he did a fairly good job. Once Ray was finished he nodded.
"So, basically this is a war between good and evil, and the main leader for good was captured by the main leader for evil, and you're the only one who can save him and save the world, but you really dont want to cause you hate confrontation. Sounds pretty messed up to me. If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know."
Rane smiled.
"Nice trick with the darkness, by the way."

Ray watched as his plan slowly came to existence. Noding listening to Rane he stepped next to Rane and put his arm around his shoulder.
"Actually, maybe there is."
Ray waved his other hand in the air. "It was nothing, more of a muffle so as no one could hear my story. You know the unwanted ears."
Ray unhooked his arm from around Rane and stepped back. "So how about it then?"

Rane nodded. He defintely understood about unwanted ears, having had his enemies learn too much about him in the past through the same problem. He resolved to try and learn the "darkness muffle" trick when he had time. He also wondered if he could do the same thing with fire. Interesting idea to explore, but one that would have to wait.
"Of course. What is it that you need?"

Ray couldn't help smile his plan had worked out perfectly. Maybe too perfectly for comfort though since hw was always a little hesitant showing off any bit of his true power really. Ray stepped away from Rane and looked him up and down making little gestures here and there. "mhmm."
It was funny because for some reason Rane might have been the only one that could take on such a task...him and his teacher that is but with his teacher being mia he had no luck there on the more experienced one.
"Would you like to controle your power? learn to master it?" Ray smiled. "Actually the really way that should be phrased is, do you want to learn hos to use my powers in which you possess already and then maybe on the way we can teach you some forgotten techniques."
Ray thought that was pretty blunt but just encase...
"Would you like to become my student?"

Rane's eyes widened in surprise for a moment, and then he bowed low before Ray.
"It would be an honor to become your student."
Simple words, but Rane backed them with feeling he rarely showed. Before him was a living legend, and he had just offered to become Rane's second teacher. The opportunity to finally learn how to master his, or should he say Rays, power was also way too good to pass up. Finally he would be able to control the elements within him, to still them into peace and use them to their full extent. He fought back a delighted smile with difficulty. He couldn't wait to begin.

"Three Years"
Ray looked at him now. "Three years from now meet here..well meet any where and I'll find you."
Ray smiled putting his hands in his pocket he began to walk away. "Till then you shall have quite the adventure, getting stronger and more keen on the powers you already posses."
Ray gave a mischievous smile but Rane would not see it. "I will alwaysd be watching and having my hand in every little thing."
Ray's right hand slipped from his pocket, waving at Rane he seemed to fade into the darkness with a small chuckle. "Good luck, you are fresh meat now." With that ray was gone

Rane stared in surprise as Ray vanished. He looked about, but there was nothing, not even an after aura that usually accomanied a trip through the darkness. He felt a little apprehensive about Ray's last comment, but figured that he would take the challenges as they came. If he were persistant enough, there was nothing he couldn't overcome. He turned and walked out of the building. Looking up at the moon, he grinned, his fangs glinting brightly. Whisps of smoke curled from his fingers, as fingers of flame flickered in his hands. The next three years should be effective, profitable, and fun.

The half dead barkeep's footsteps could be heard before he was seen as he seemed to slump into view. He seemed to be determined to get to where he was going. Ironically it was towards the 'vampire' that had just emerged from the abandoned building. Waving at Rane in hoped to catch him before he disappeared.
"Stranger! excuse me stranger!."
He hurried his pace slightly.
"I have a note for you!"
Even though he had taken an almost relaxing pace towards Rane he still seemed out of breath when he reached him. Holding out his right hand towards Rane he clutched a small piece of paper in his hand.
"A stranger in white and his canine just came through giving me this note telling me to give it to the first person to exit the warehouse." He waited for Rane to take the note. A piece of the barkeep's flesh fell to the ground as he waited.

Rane turned at the sound of the barkeepers voice. He waited patiently until the barkeeper reached him, and nodded as the barkeeper spoke. Reaching out, Rane grasped the piece of paper, and after a few seconds of trying to pull it from the barkeepers grasp, he finally yanked it out of his hand.
"Thank you." Rane said, nodding at the 'man.' Rane looked down and opened the piece of paper.
