· History: Versora is a very special individual. Special as in born with a purpose. Upon her birth she was chosen to become a Child of Light or Holy if you will, her sole purpose is to protect mankind. She was born to the Hellsing family, of which they had no idea how special their second child really was. Of course Arthur’s brother didn’t think Versora was a blessing, he saw her as an obstacle in his way. The original plan was to raise her in the Hellsing base in Ireland away from the older child.
Well the uncle had other plans as he wanted the family inheirtance. So he kidnapped Versora. Well she was sent to Ireland, but she never reached the base where someone waited to raise her. Instead she was dropped off at an orphanage miles away from any village or town. One day a nice family came and adopted her they gave her the middle name of Valentine as that was the day she was adopted.
She was taken to a small cottage with a small farm and garden and was raised there. Her new parents rased her like she was their own. Several years had passed and she was five years old, then the tragic thing happens. A rogue vampire was out prowling for a snack and just so happened to burst in, by the looks of him he was starved, his crimson eyes glowed with blood lust as he lunges and attacke her new parents in front of her eating his fill as he all but ripped them to shreds.
Her father though fought bravely till the end, he managed to pry loose the violet amulet that held the vampire’s cape about his shoulders. Versora was was horror struck. The vampire soon turned his hungry gaze at Versora, but he didn’t want to snack on her, he knew that was a major No-No, he had other plans for her. He was going to take her and wait for her to get older then make her his queen. As if versora knew what the damned creature was thinking, she gathers her wits and looks at her parents, not wanting to end up like them, she quickly runs over to her father and pries the amulet from her adopted father’s cold dead fingers and made a run for it, her little legs carrying her as fast as she could go. The vampire gave chase, but he didn’t want to catch her just yet, he wanted to play with her just a bit, making her think she was out running him.
Eventually she ran into a forest. She was running for hours, but was used to it, but she was soon getting tired, but she continues to press on, the vampire almost hot on her trail. Eventually she came across a remote monastary, she ran up to the steps and banged on the door and called for sanctuary. The vampire that was chasing her stopped in his tracks and watched as the huge oak door opened up to reveal a tall muscular man, he had waist length platinum blonde hair and sapphire colored eyes, he looked to handsome to be a monk in fact he looked too buff to be one, he leans down and picks Versora up and looks in the Vampire’s direction. The vampire backs away and vanishes from sight as the ‘monk’ carried her inside. The monk turned out to be a Paladin and he was the Grandmaster of an ancient secret order. Order of the Holy Fist. He explains all of this to her and took it upon himself to finish raising her.
She was taught in the ways of several martial arts and Greek wrestling should she find herself on the ground pinned by her target. She was also taught alchemy, the science of mixing ingredients together, and this is where her curiosity got the better of her. When the Master Alchemist was not looking she snuck around the table and grabbed a large phial with a thick red liquid in it, thinking it was tomato juice, she found out that it wasn't after she chugged it, even though she still did not know what it was, she dropped the empty phial, spitting in disgust, the sound of breaking glass brought the alchemist out of his train of thought and to her side in an instant, when he saw what she had done he immediately took her to the Grandmaster, but by the time he got there, it was too late, the liquid she consumed had changed my appearance and had taken its hold on her, but her holy blood purified the substance she drank, only tainting her, but it still imbues her with its powers.
They still did a purification ceremony just to be safe and Grandmaster Aidan had known the instant he saw her new appearance that she had drank Vampire blood, but it wasn’t just any Vampire’s blood, it was Dracula’s, and it wasn’t easy to obtain. He had planned on making a serum that would allow humans to become temporarily as strong as Vampires, but it seemed now that that idea was now lost. Aidan never told her whose blood she drank. So now she was imbues with heightened senses and the abilities of a Vampire.
And she also earned another name, the other monks started calling her Dracul because of her appearance. She never learned how to use them, but she knew she was different even more so than she already was. Even with her new abilities, that didn’t stop her from focusing on her training. She learned magic from Aidan, a long forgotten craft that took years to learn and even longer to perfect and control. It wasn’t long that word had spread of the prodigy Priestess. Soon word was sent out that she was a possible candidate for a special group for the Vatican. When her training was as complete as it could be she was sent to Rome. It was there that she met Father Anderson, who had mistaken her for a vampire, but she easily avoided a conflict, she actually pinned the giant priest to the ground, but Maxwell wasn’t happy, but he did snicker about the fact that a girl beat him. She was given the job of helping out with the orphanage since that was the only available opening. Versora didn’t mind. She loved children.
Several moths had passed and she had eventually settled into her new home, but she thought it odd that she was passed up for missions, she inquires about this was was told that she was too young to fight. She refrained from getting mad lest she alert them of the fact that isn’t human. A few years had passed and she finally received a mission, and she performed it with flying colors, thus proving she was capable of dealing with with what ever was thrown at her. So from that point on she was given a mission when she wasn’t busy. She made lots of new friends during her stay. A few more years go by and on her twenty-third birthday turned out to be a not so happy one.
She was called into Maxwell’s office, and looked so mad, his right eye was actually twitching. He was yelling at her the instant she walked through the door, he was shaking a vanilla folder at her and screaming about her lieing ti him. She had no idea what he was talking about until he walked around his desk and shoves the folder at her, she looks up at him with a confused look on her face, then she opens the folder and reads it. She couldn’t believe what she read, it turns out that her previous life was a lie, that she didn’t belong to the ones who raised her. And with that she was excommunicated as soon as she gathered her belongings. of course her last meeting with Father Anderson was a fight, she didn’t fight back.
The rest was fuzzy to her as she woke up in a hospital. The doctor said she was badly hurt and was surprised she recovered so quickly, but they soon released her and she went to the address that was written down in the folder. Once there, she was met with suspicion and hostility, but the mess was soon cleared up and she was released and was apologized to for her rough treatment. Versora understood why they acted the way they did. She eventually settled down once again, but she still wasn’t used to her surroundings and the new people. But she will eventually.
Of course there are still issues because she was once an Iscariot agent. But it has been a year since she came to Hellsing and she still feels estranged. After the huge war no one was the same again, and she still mourned the los of her friends, but for the most part she was able to help protect mankind from what could have happened.
